Our Outreach Programs
Ossining Prison Ministry We are active in prison ministry at Sing Sing. Through the auspices of Ossining Prison Ministry, several of our members offer hospitality for families visiting inmates on the weekends. We also have a group who go into Sing Sing for a Bible Study one Saturday each month.
Midnight Run Four times a year we participate in Midnight Run, a volunteer program that brings clothing, blankets, toiletries, food, friendly words and fellowship directly to the homeless in Manhattan
On the night of a Run, we gather in Fellowship Hall at 7:30PM to pack lunch bags, fold clothing, and load the vehicles. We leave for Manhattan around 10:00PM. If you wish to make a donation of food (cold cuts, bread, fruit, juice boxes), toiletries (hotel soaps, travel-size shampoos, toothbrushes, disposable razors), gently used men's clothing (jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc), or new packages of underwear and socks, please contact the church office. For more information about Midnight Run, click here: www.midnightrun.org.
Ossining Food Pantry We participate in the Ossining Food Pantry. Each week we collect food for distribution to the needy. In addition to contributing food, there are opportunities for volunteer work with the Pantry.
